Sync Ableton Live + Traktor Kontrol 8: How to Synchronize TRAKTOR and Ableton Live - Native Instruments
1. Traktor Preferences: Midi Clock > Send Midi Clock
2. Create Generic MIDI Device in Traktor: Preferences: Controller Manager - Under Device select Add - chose Generic MIDI (Ableton Push (Live Port))
3. Define Output Port: Out-Port: Traktor Virtual Output
4.Send Out MIDI Clock Signal: FX Unit should be displayed (Mixer or Extended Layout)
Click on Metronome - select Master - Auto Button below off (can be on but better not)
Click Play/Pause button (right next to Metronome Master Auto buttons) - shows that Traktor is sending Clock Signal) light blue button now
Tempo shown next to Master button - can be adjustet via +- buttons or pull Tempo up down
Sync button (in Send section) resets tempo - useful if slave is not running correctly anymore
5. Setting up MIDI Sync in Ableton Live
Ableton Preferences Midi Sync: Input Traktor Virtual Output > Sync on - others off (Edirol UA-25 etc.)
